Bridging Technologies is a Tanzanian technology company on a mission to build intelligent, purpose-built software platforms that give organisations in East Africa complete operational control — starting with the industries that need it most.
From agency to platform company — a deliberate pivot.
Bridging Technologies was legally incorporated in Tanzania in 2015, beginning as a digital marketing and web development agency. We were good at it. But we kept encountering the same problem: the businesses and institutions we were helping with their online presence had far deeper operational challenges that no software was adequately solving.
In 2020, we made a deliberate strategic decision. We pivoted to a Product-First model — recruiting engineers and building specialised platforms designed specifically for the Tanzanian and East African context. Not adapted global tools. Not generic ERPs. Products built from the ground up around how organisations here actually work.
Today we have four live products deployed across logistics, real estate, and NGO/government sectors. Our clients include Tanzania Revenue Authority, CRDB Bank, Selcom, the Zanzibar Government Presidential Delivery Bureau, and the First Lady of Zanzibar's Foundation.
